In the decades after the 2nd World War, a million Irish people emigrated to Britain with a suitcase and a dream. Whilst they built a new life, they also exported their love of dance, song and music. Within decades, this new generation had sparked an artistic revolution as Irish parents and grandparents gave birth to some of the most influential and successful artists in British pop culture, e.g., The Beatles, David Bowie, Dusty Springfield, Elvis Costello, Kate Bush, Dexy’s, Oasis, The Smiths etc.

In The Green Beat Generation, Adam Clayton explores the unique family histories behind this extraordinary wave of musical talent, born to Irish emigrants, that dominated the British charts with a universal songbook that echoed all over the world.

Format – 2 x 60s (TX) & 1 x 90 (feature).

2027 will mark 10 years since the death of comedian, author, and actor Sean Hughes. The youngest ever winner of the coveted Perrier Award at the 1990 Edinburgh Fringe, Sean was a trailblazer who changed modern comedy forever, and his sudden passing at 51 years of age shocked the entertainment industry. In 2026, after lengthy legal issues, Sean Hughes’s estate provided Shelter UK with its largest ever donation of £4m after he bequeathed the homeless charity his three London properties in his will.

SEAN’S FILM – ‘The Fears of a Clown’ tells the extraordinary story of the dramatic rise and fall of Britain’s and Ireland’s first rock star comic.

Format – 2 x 60s (TX) & 1 x 90 (feature).
