To mark his 3rd Act (and scratch a creative itch), Sideline’s Billy (Magra) McGrath returned to his comedy roots and wrote/performed a new one-man comedy slide show exploring how one old-age punk survived a world of sex, Irish dancing, drugs, and rock’n’roll—and lived to tell the tale. GUSTO was initially developed with an ‘artist-in-residence’ grant from St. John Theatre in Listowel (Kerry) and later trialed at a test reading at the Town Hall Theatre, Galway & a live 75-minute performance at The Record Room, Limerick, before a week’s run at The Project Arts Theatre in Dublin (April 2023) and a festival appearance at All Together Now in Waterford (August). Been there – done that! Ambition is now a new live or video show in 2027.
